Our Assaultive Behavior Programs at PERS, provide a structured and compassionate pathway towards personal transformation and improved relationships. Designed for individuals seeking to address and redirect aggressive behaviors, our programs combine evidence-based counseling, anger management techniques, and cognitive-behavioral interventions. Assaultive Behavior Programs

Anger Management (One Day/Intake)

4 Contact Hours
Interactive group designed for those individuals who have exhibited challenges in controlling their anger. Goals include management of emotions, examining choice and consequence, accountability and alternatives to violence. Additional emphasis aiding in the development of adequate coping mechanisms, identification of triggers and conflict resolution skills. 

Domestic Violence (One Day/Intake)

4 Contact Hours
Pro-active group for individuals displaying aggression, violence and abusive behavior.  This program aims to promote a culture of nonviolence and respect. Focus is on accountability, behavior modification and reduction in usage of defense mechanisms. Participant engagement results in improved relationships, communication, and proper usage of coping skills along with increased self reflection and self-control. 

Anger Management Follow Up Sessions

1 Contact Hour
Weekly one-hour sessions meeting for either 4 or 8 weeks, providing extra support for those clients in need. Focus is on continuation of coping skills, choices and consequences, defense mechanisms, de-escalation strategies, anger/hassle log, power and control wheel and decreasing denial and rationalization. 

Domestic Violence Follow Up Sessions

1 Contact Hour
Weekly one-hour sessions meeting for either 12 or 26 weeks.  The focus is on addressing respect, non-threatening behavior, trust, support, honesty, enhancement of coping skills, economic negotiation and parenting skills. Participants will learn the outcome of effective emotion management, and associated healthy reactions/responses will result in positive and meaningful lifestyle changes.
